HughesNet Service Plan Summary(available with an HN7000S modem)
1 Stated speeds are not guaranteed. Actual upload speed will likely be lower than speed indicated during peak hours. Download speeds may also be temporarily slowed in cases when patterns of system usage exceed the download threshold for an extended period of time. See the HughesNet
Fair Access Policy for more information. If you choose to run VPN over satellite, your data speeds may be reduced by as much as 50-75%. Despite the high speeds, time sensitive applications, such as multi-player games, are also not recommended over HughesNet.
2 Download Threshold is the volume of data that can be downloaded continuously before the Fair Access Policy may restrict the download speed. Several variables affect this number including speed of download, duration of download, and the plan's Recovery Rate.
3 Recovery Rate is the speed at which a service plan recovers the Download Threshold.
4 Satellite equipment and standard professional installation included with Promotional Plans. After 15 months, the monthly fee converts to the then-current rate.
5 PowerPak includes .98 m antenna; 2 W radio; tri-mast, non-penetrating, or pole mount; and professional installation. The PowerPak is designed to provide better performance in areas with severe weather.
